Florida P.A.T.H Program
Providing Access to Hope
The Waves Behavioral Health believes that intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for substance use and mental health can be an important step in recovery for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Intensive Outpatient Program is most effectively used as a step-down from a higher level of care to help in the transition toward independent functioning, or as a step-up in intensity of services when traditional outpatient therapy does not provide enough structure or support.
In an effort to make services available to those in geographic locations that prevent in-person Intensive Outpatient Program attendance or those not able to attend office-based therapy sessions, The Waves Behavioral Health has made telehealth Intensive Outpatient Program available to clients, using a secure video platform. Our virtual intensive outpatient treatment centers provide clients with necessary tools to maintain long-term recovery.
Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program includes comprehensive diagnostic and biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, couple and family therapy, group therapy, psychiatric and medical referrals as needed, support group referrals, and linkage to The Waves Rooted alumni network. All of these services are available to clients from the comfort of their own home. Treatment includes:
- Identifying underlying issues & trauma resolution
- Repairing relationships
- Developing healthy coping skills
- Developing and refining relapse prevention plans
- Coordinating with community physicians who prescribe psychotropic and addiction treatment medication.
- Building a support network
- Redefining life
- Aftercare planning
