Co-Dependency Treatment
What Is Co-Dependency?
Co-dependency is a complex emotional and behavioral condition that often develops in relationships where one person becomes overly reliant on another for their sense of identity and self-worth. This condition can manifest in various ways, including excessive caretaking, an inability to set boundaries, and difficulty making independent decisions. At The Wave of Clearwater, we provide specialized treatment to help women recognize and break free from unhealthy relationship patterns.

Recognizing Co-dependency
Recognizing co-dependency can be challenging, as many of its behaviors are often mistaken for love, loyalty, or responsibility. Some common signs include a deep-seated fear of abandonment, constant people-pleasing, difficulty saying no, and an overwhelming need for approval. If left unaddressed, co-dependency can interfere with an individual’s ability to maintain balanced, fulfilling relationships. At The Wave of Clearwater, we offer a supportive and therapeutic environment where women can explore the root causes of their co-dependency and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Our comprehensive approach to co-dependency treatment incorporates evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and individual counseling. Through these modalities, clients learn to identify negative thought patterns, establish firm boundaries, and cultivate self-confidence. Group therapy sessions provide additional support, allowing clients to connect with others who share similar experiences and challenges.
